Wendy Robertson worked as a teacher and lecturer, gaining a Master's Degree whilst also writing short stories, articles and a weekly column for four years in the Northern Echo. She then embarked on a full time writing career and has written fourteen novels. She is on the board of New Writing North, runs courses for aspiring writers and was writer in residence in a women's prison for three years.
